Cars refinish materials business is the extension of the automotive OEM coatings production. Car refinish materials are intrinsically connected with automotive coatings which have always been Russian Coatings Corp.’s strong point. That’s why the company’s entrance into car refinish market was favorably met by domestic consumers.

A whole complex of paintwork materials is produced under "Vika" brand: several kinds of enamels and varnishes, fillers and primers for domestic and foreign car repair applications.

The product range "Vika" is continually expanding. Every quarter enamel spectrum is being enriched with new colors, entirely new products appear. Products such as waterproof polishing sheet, cover-up tape, filter cones and many others which are necessary for servicing station workers are manufactured under the brand "Vika". As it’s impossible to produce all materials necessary for consumers at one and the same manufacturing department, the product line "Vika" includes the goods manufactured abroad to a special order.

The brand strategy is to create a system of products and to sell them under one brand name to satisfy the customers’ needs in easy-to-use staples and tying products.

Nowadays "Vika" takes up a considerable share of the Russian market where on the one hand it competes with major foreign producers – multinational transnational brands and on the other - cuts out no-name, low-quality falsifications. By 2003 "Vika" has become one of the top five best- selling car refinish paintwork materials brand names in Russia accounting for about 10% of this market.

"Vika" continues to strengthen its positions through developing distribution network, controlling prices at all stages of distribution and cutting no-name brands out of the market. In 2002 the successful brand management was awarded the most prestigious prize in the marketing field "Brand of the year/EFFIE" in 2003.
