Ethical imperatives are perceived by Russian Coatings Corp as the core of all business activities. Ethics is at the heart of the company’s corporate culture - our employees are professionals guided by responsibility and personal integrity who strive for the success of their own in the interests of Russian Paints as a global company. In business relations the employees should be committed to the highest standards of business ethics and integrity bearing in mind that these principles are of both moral and social value. Basic ethical principles – honesty and fair play - underlie our employees’ constructive relationship with the authorities, suppliers, and consumers. The present structure of Russian Coatings Corp. combines high-technology production and modern management system. Efficient manpower policy is one of the key factors of the company’s sustainable performance. Understanding that people are the most valuable resource is at the heart of the company’s manpower policy. Building a strong team is a key to company’s success. That’s why we seek to employ the most capable and promising specialists. Recruitment is carried out by means of specially devised techniques which are highly informative and reliable. The company draws much attention to advanced training, personal and professional development of its staff. Every employee has an opportunity to use his or her knowledge and abilities for the welfare of the company, getting job satisfaction. Intellectual potential and experience are the key factors in the profitable growth of the company. Our manpower policy is based on economic inducements and social guarantees consistent with the current trends in management. The major principle of manpower policy is to combine employees’ personal and financial interests with the Company’s interests. These principles are realized in corporate culture which is characterized by the following main features: commitment to high quality standards, mutual respect, friendliness, honesty, aspiration for individual development, result-orientation and professional tutorship. Year after year a list of social expense items in our company has not been reduced. They are: organization of employees and their families rest, organization of children vacations, medical aid, providing facilities in sanatoria and health resorts, public catering in the plant canteen by reasonable prices, bus transfer to the plant. According to the results of 2006 Russian Coatings was recognized as a laureate of the VII Russian contest «Russian Enterprise of High Social Efficiency» in nomination «Chemical Industry». We believe that the best specialists are active, cheerful people able not only to work with enthusiasm but to rest well. That’s why the company’s policy involves supporting numerous societies and clubs formed by our employees such as fishers’ and hunters’ society, a tourist’s club “The wind of travel”, a factory youth organization. Nonprofit funding of the employees’ social and cultural activities, leisure and sports is also a part of the policy. The enterprise’s social infrastructure includes summer and winter recreational complexes, libraries, stocked with science literature and fiction, a club and fitness centre. A newspaper of small circulation was renewed at the enterprise two years ago. Its objective is to inform Russian Coatings Corp.’s employees of current events at the plant and to form a single informational space. The newspaper has become a permanent helpmate, friend and adviser for many employees. One can read the plant manager’s appeal there, congratulate a colleague, and learn about the development of a new product on its pages. The paper covers social issues and publishes specialists’ debates. Traditional corporate celebrations of the New Year’s Day, Grandfather Frost’s presents to the employees’ children, flowers presented to every woman on the 8th of March and prizes to the best workers on the company’s birthdays – to name a few of what has already become traditional. We want everybody who works at Russian Coatings Corp. to be proud of their challenging and rewarding work and to associate the best moments of their lives with our company. A strong point in the company’s manpower policy is the ability to combine old workers’ experience and expertise with the youth’s energy and talent. This combination is our competitive advantage and it has proved helpful more than once. The whole families have been working at the plant for years and labor dynasties have been formed. Since childhood our employees have absorbed what is now called by a popular term “team spirit”. The significance of this intangible asset couldn’t be expressed in figures and diagrams! We understand the importance of preserving these values and passing them over to the next generations. But the main thing is that our employees consider Russian Coatings Corp. to be the place where they can realize their professional skills, where they have exciting career opportunities and where the company’s success becomes part and parcel of the individual achievements. There is no contradiction that the company strives to be socially responsible and profitable.
